You’re now on the blog that was fashioned by a young girl who had a dream instilled onto her heart to create a faith magazine for young girls. A place where she could be real, raw and open about issues, sins, struggles and addictions as well as being able to share her adoration for fashion, beauty and lifestyle. She wanted realness, real beauty and real talk.
That girl’s name is Rosalind Bootle, I’m a 21 year old girl studying Journalism with English Literature. I’m a Christian so undeserving of His grace and mercy but His love has called me and awakened inside of me a longing to live and serve Him for the rest of my days.
Up until now I have blogged out of my own appreciation for the written word and used it not only online but on paper as a way to express. This dream to create a faith magazine has been bubbling amidst other dreams that I’ve had growing up. It’s been in there through my teacher-phase, my archaeology phase, fashion designer and musician phase. I’ve always taken a creative route in all my years of education, I love being creative and I want to express His creativity.
There have been many a night/day/year of procrastination, of prolonging what I believe He called me to do, to work at. I kept using the excuse of “Lord, I haven’t had enough life experience to be able to create something like this.” For me there’s been a battle of comparison, worth, a doubting of my creativity and His calling on my life. I’ve argued, paced the floor many a time and cried fighting His truths with my own twisted lies. But here I am, after all this time I bit the bullet “no time like the present”. Sometimes He has given us passions to run after, He equips us and sometimes we can be what holds us back. So here’s me taking a risk, no, a step of faith into what He has called me to do and wherever it takes me, even if it doesn’t work out, in this season and every other season for that matter…He is there.
My testimony will be written in another post I’m sure but where I’m at right now on my Christian journey, I’m expectant. God’s working in me and I have lots of learning to do but thankfully I have a Teacher who happens to be the Author and Perfector of my faith to teach, discipline and love me regardless of my screw-ups.

“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.” – 1 John 4:10-12
